Sunday Sketch

This week's sketch comes from Lisa Truesdell's "you" layout in her SOCK HOP gallery - we loved her focus on tiny details that draw you into the story and were eager to see how one of our members interpreted the sketch!

 

This week we asked member Mariaje98 to share her take on the sketch...and fell in love with her take on it!

Supplies:
Paper: Studio Calico Heyday, Echo Park Paper Everyday Eclectic, My Mind´s Eye Bramble Rose, October Afternoon 9 to 5; Overlay: Hambly Rain Clouds; Washi Tape: Scrapbook Werkstatt, mt; Label sticker: October Afternoon 9 to 5; Wood Veneer Studio Calico; Mister Huey´s: Studio Calico Sunshine and Calico White; Alpha: Silhouette Cameo

When I saw the sketch of Lisa's, I identified a lot with it, as my style is this, the layers!!! I've used it horizontally, respecting the zones of the details and leaving lines up and down and I edited the picture to mimic the same tone of the paper. Simply a beautiful sketch.

We love that Maria adapted the sketch for a 12x12 page to accomodate 2 photos. Her flair for using little details added to the impact of this page in a big way...AWESOME work, Maria!!
