Don't adjust your monitors - this week's sketch has a bit of a tilt. This fun design is based on a page from Kinsey Wilson's Summer of '69 gallery entitled "Jealous Siri."
We couldn't wait to see what SC member Deb Duty would do with this inspiration. If you're a little way of working on a slat, that's okay - Deb shows us that this sketch looks just as good when you straighten it out!
Deb's photos are so sweet, and this page is the perfect way to showcase them! You'll notice that she used her wood veneer embellishments to form a visual triangle - it's a perfect trick to move your eyes from her photos down to her journaling. If you'd like to see more of Deb's work, please visit her Studio Calico gallery or her blog.
Now it's YOUR turn to show us how you'll use the sketch. Whether it's a layout (two pages or one!), a card or something else, link us up to your project by August 20th for a chance to win a $5 gift card to the Studio Calico shop.
Thanks

The sketch is great, but I often have trouble putting things at an angle. I was more inspired by Deb's layout.

Love this sketch! I made a card, using the angle idea. I think I'll use it for a layout also. Great sketch and 2 fabulous layouts!
