It's a big night here at Studio Calico! In addition to the Central High sneaks & your first look at our debut card kit, we're thrilled to be introducing you to our six new design team members! We can't wait to show you what they've made with our September kit, and thought we'd show off their own favorite pages in the meantime.

Sasha Farina :

Sasha is a color crazy, t-shirt and jeans kinda girl. She lives 10 minutes walk from one of the beaches in Singapore with her supportive husband of 13 years and her two girls who are growing up too fast for her liking. She started this crazy wonderful, amazing, beautiful hobby in September 2006 and has since been swallowed whole.You can say she jumped in with both feet and not a day of regret ever since.

She has been published in Creating Keepsakes, both US and Australia, Scrapbooks Etc, Scrapbooking Memories Australia, Scrapbook Magazine UK, Scrapbook Trends and various online publications.

Besides scrapbooking, she loves to travel with her family, with that comes photography and good food. She scrapbooks for her self-enjoyment. The memory recording part is a bonus. :)

Amy Tan :

It's hard for Amy Tan to imagine where her life would be had she not fallen in love with scrapbooking in 2007. This hobby has afforded her so many amazing opportunities - including a signature line with American Crafts, many of her projects published in a variety of magazines, and the chance to meet so many inspiring people - that she is endlessly grateful for. When she's not at home in Venice, California with boyfriend and two Jack Russell Terriers, she is traveling across the country, finding great places to eat, and doing her best to enjoy every moment. All while Instagramming everything along the way.

Amy loves salted caramel anything, doggy cuddles, palm trees, riding her beach cruiser, and nachos. Always nachos.

She recently debuted her third line with American Crafts and has a book with Signature Series launching in early 2013. She is thrilled to join the Studio Calico family.

Becky Novacek :

Becky Novacek has always been drawn to paper and photos. As she tried different creative endeavors and eventually discovered scrapbooking, she was hooked. It became an almost daily respite after a long day of work. Creating free style, homespun layouts that speak her thoughts are what she enjoys most about scrapbooking.

Becky lives in Fremont, Nebraska with her husband Tom and faithful dog Scooter. Tom and Becky have 4 grown, married children and ten grandchildren.

Photography, crafting/scrapbooking, reading, shopping for vintage treasures, lunching with friends and spending Sunday afternoons in the summer by the pool with her family are her favorite pastimes.

Maile Belles :

Maile has been happily married to her high school sweetheart, Bryan, for 11 years. The two of them are blessed with an adorable 5 year old son, who delights and challenges them every day. They live in sunny California, in a small mountain town that they both grew up in. Maile loves to enjoy the outdoors with her family; either by taking off-roading excursion in the family Jeep, by hitting the trails on her dirt bike, camping or hiking. She also enjoys sharing little life updates via her Instagram account… mkbelles.

Maile began stamping and making cards as a nap-time hobby in 2007, shortly after the birth of her son, which quickly turned into a crafty passion. She finds instant gratification through designing on the small canvas of a card.

Maile’s cards and projects have been published in Paper Crafts and Cards Magazine. She was crowned a Paper Crafts Stamping Royalty winner in 2010. Her work is lovingly shared on her blog… mailebelles.blogspot.com. She designs her own line of products (Stamping Simply) through Papertrey ink and is also part of their Senior Design Team.

Extremely delighted is she, to bring her clean and simple card making style to the Studio Calico team. She truly hopes that you enjoy!

Marcy Penner :

Marcy Penner is a pretty simple girl.

Marcy married her high school sweetheart and has three kids (Molly, Jack and Max). For the last 12 years the Penner’s have been living on the family farm and renovating a 120 year old farmhouse in Canada. Yes. Still renovating! ;) Marcy is a major homebody so country life is a great fit for her!

Back in the day, Marcy earned her Bachelor of Education degree, but an artistic life has always been calling her name (She comes from a long line of artists) Marcy is always busy doing something creative... photography (sometimes shooting others, but enjoying shooting her own family the most), scrapbooking, decorating... you name it! Marcy loves that scrapbooking combines so many of my hobbies into one! It's the perfect fit.

Marcy gravitates towards pale colors and she’s not afraid to use white... both in her scrapbooking and in her home. She loves incorporating layers and tone-on-tone designs, all while keeping a simple style. You'll always find stitching on her pages somewhere.

Robyn Werlich :

Ever since Robyn was a little girl, she has had a huge passion for art. A month before her first child was born, Robyn fell in love with scrapbooking and stamping! She has now been involved in the industry for over 10 years. She has had many wonderful opportunities being on Design Teams for Making Memories, Autumn Leaves, Hero Arts, a Garden Girl at Two Peas in a Bucket and more. Robyn was on the 2008 Creative Team for BHG Scrapbooks, etc. magazine and has contributed to nearly every issue since. She has been published in many Autumn Leaves & Making Memories Idea Books, BHG Scrapbooks Etc., Creating Keepsakes, Scrapbook Trends, Stampin' Up! Idea Books and more. Robyn's scrapbooking style is centered around great photos, graphic and clean lines and a love for the little details that make her projects unique.

Robyn and her family recently moved from Utah to Arizona. She has been married to Ryan for 15 years and they have three kids: Madisyn (10), Hudson (8) and Jaxon (4). She is a stay at home mom who loves to do something creative everyday. When she isn't in her craft room scrapbooking, stamping or sewing, you can find her decorating, taking photos, browsing Pinterest, playing with her kids, shopping or watching a movie with her hubby.
