This week's sketch comes from Celine Navarro's gallery for our July Kit, ELMWOOD PARK - it's based on her layout entitled together.
We loved the BIG impact of the starburst on the bottom of this sketch, and asked Marcy Penner to share her take on it :
(supplies - kit : So Cal ; wood veneer : camera and asterisks ; other : doily and vellum)
I am absolutely smitten with the addition of the vellum to the starburst - it creates such a dreamy effect! If you want to see more of Marcy 's work, stop by her gallery here at Studio Calico or visit her blog.
Now it's YOUR turn to show us how you'll use the sketch. Whether it's a layout (two pages or one!), a card or something else, link us up to your project by July 16th for a chance to win a $5 gift card to the Studio Calico shop.
Wow, this is gorgeous! Love the layered vellum. Can't wait to try this one!

I'm with Becky - so out of my box, but I loved doing this! It was just the challenge I needed this weekend. And I combined with an anniversary challenge, so even better.

A bit of artistic license with the placement of everything - but here is what this inspired me to do

Here's my attempt:
http://www.studiocalico.com/galleries/65040-god-is-good-we-have-grown-as-a-family
Did this for a friend on her birthday. essentially I ran out of suitable paper and I decided to use every possible scrap of hot pink or bubble gum themed paper to piece a sun bean background :)
