sunday sketch

This week's sketch comes from Celine Navarro's gallery for our July Kit, ELMWOOD PARK - it's based on her layout entitled together.

We loved the BIG impact of the starburst on the bottom of this sketch, and asked Marcy Penner to share her take on it :

I was going to run my photos at the top like in the sketch, but decided that I wanted to condense the sketch to sit in the middle of my page instead.  I couldn't find three photos that I wanted to use so I cropped a photo to create a panoramic-styled shot instead.  I kept the title in the same spot as in the sketch. I wanted to do something different with the sunburst so I layered vellum over the various pieces of paper that I use.  I think it worked well with the whole beachy theme.

(supplies - kit : So Cal ; wood veneer : camera and asterisks ; other : doily and vellum)

Did this for a friend on her birthday. essentially I ran out of suitable paper and I decided to use every possible scrap of hot pink or bubble gum themed paper to piece a sun bean background :)
