Our guest dt, Melissa Mann is here again to show her where she creates her awesome layouts and projects. Let's take a peek....
Hello again! I'm here to show you a look at my work-space this Wednesday! When I first started scrapbooking, I had one small desk and one set of plastic drawers. Such is not the case anymore! I have taken over about half of our spare bedroom these days and it is certainly not anything fancy, but it gets the job done and I love having a space for all of my stuff to be out and about! My husband got a piece of pegboard from Home Depot a few years back and that thing has truly been wonderful! I often switch things around on it to get them in view that way they are more likely to get used instead of just sitting. I also love that I can have my sewing machine and typewriter sit out at all times instead of having to take it out and put it away. I use both of those things on most of my layouts and I love the easy access to them. As you can probably tell by looking at my desk, I love bowls: any size, any color! I scored a big shallow bowl that someone was going to toss because it had a chip on one side. I snatched that bowl up and use it to store my go-to punches in. I like having my circle punches, corner rounders, heart punches, and star punches close by. I also use smaller bowls to hold pop dots (why do I have SO many of those things open!?), pens, adhesive, and smaller bits of things. In the corner, I have a corner shelf that houses my paint dabbers, ink pads, & mists. In the revolving bin, I keep lots of smaller things that no longer have packaging: buttons, chipboard, die cuts, twine, etc..I store my other punches in baskets that fit in my cubby storage. Off to the side of the cubby, I keep some 12 x 12 plastic storage boxes that hold products from various design teams I'm on. It's definitely not magazine worthy, but it works for me! Thanks for taking a peek at my space!
Melissa

Love the light and the easy organization of your space Melissa! It looks like a space that gets frequent use. The peg board is a great idea- I switched to baskets for my "go to" tools because I've dropped them so many times in my late night work "haze". Thanks for sharing!

Thanks for showing us a "real" scrap space. We get so used to seeing photos of huge, gorgeous spaces that it's nice to be reminded that most of us have spaces that look something like yours.

Yes! I love the "reality" of these photos. Organized chaos in all it's imperfect beauty. TFS!

the peg board looks like a really great idea, I always have trouble storing those long stickers sheets, like Crate papers border sheets, to hang them up would be perfect...Nice space Melissa !!

I love that you shared your workspace with us and that it doesn't look perfectly put together! My space is so similar with totes and table and shelves...makes me feel better about having my own space even though it's not custom shelving and cabinets in a giant room (like so many spotlighted rooms in the mags) Love it! Thanks again!
