This week's sketch is brought to you Laura from her Story Teller gallery.
Sarah aka sarahak created this outstanding layout based on Laura's sketch.
Here's what Sarah had to say about her sketch:
I have always been a huge fan of Laura’s so I was excited when Tina asked me to create a layout based on one of her simply amazing layouts.
For my layout I started with my all time favorite neutral background paper – Studio Calico “Folio”. I cut my 12x12 piece down to 8.5 x 11 to mimic the size of Laura’s layout. I typed my journaling on the computer and printed it directly on my background paper. By creating a text box in Word I was able to place the journaling where I wanted it. I kept a very light gray line around my text box when I printed. To finish off my journaling box I sewed over the light line

around the text!
I added the title lettering, Elf Chipboard Thickers-Woodgrain (American Crafts) – found in the Glee Club kit! Because the story is about my son Harrison I added a recent picture of him. I embellished the picture with the “details” tag (Elle’s Studio) clipped on with a Tim Holtz paper clip. At the top of the layout I added two banners (Elle’s Studio), sewed then down and added star button (found on Etsy) flair.
Thanks for always inspiring Laura and thanks Tina for the opportunity to play with this layout sketch!
Thanks Sarah! Be sure to check out the rest of her gallery for more amazing layouts.
Play along with the sketch this week and link us up to your layout by Monday, April 2nd for your chance to win a SC GC!
