CHALLENGE: Fill "dead" space on a photo with journaling
Hi everyone! It's Susan here today with this week's challenge. For our challenge this week, I'm pulling out a technique that I used from a layout in my County Fair Gallery - NYC.
When creating this page, I knew that there was a photo in my photostrip (that runs across my page) with "hello nyc" on it in a sign, yet a lot of "dead" space so-to-speak, below. I really wanted to include the hello nyc sign photo on my page, but at the same time wanted to conceal the empty negative space below.
The way that I was able to do this, was by formatting my journaling to fit and cover the negative-dead space.
So my challenge to you --- is to create a layout with a photo that includes the journaling on top of the photo, covering negative-dead space. This is absolutely a great way to use photos that have some sort of imperfection included on or in them - yet still are something that you want to scrap & include in your albums. I found I had so much journaling to add to this layout I ran out of room. Then I remembered this challenge! The rest of my journaling fit perfectly into the white-space of my photo.
