Hello, Emily here to share how I store my mists. My father-in-law is a fabulous wood worker. One year for Christmas he asked me for the dimensions of my spice bottles. I sent him bottle sizes and he proceeded to make the most lovely oak spice rack for me. I used it for years, then we moved to Colorado and my kitchen has ZERO wall space, so the spice rack went down to the basement for storage. I was rummaging around earlier this year and saw it, had an A-HA moment, brought it up to my scraproom, and voila, my mists had a new home.
Up until this time, I'd been storing them in a filing cabinet drawer. Now they are out, on my desk and I find I use them more. So when looking for storage ideas, first check out what you already have and see if repurposing will work for you.
I also wanted to include my O-ring of color swatches. Every time I get a new mist, I'll spray it onto a 2x3 inch card, label it, write the name of the mist, and add it to my ring. It's a very handy way to know what I have so I can make a quick card. Supplies: Cardstock (Bazzill); Mister Huey (Studio Calico) in Custard, Lunch Tray, Orchard, Clover, and Piglet; Cloud Rub ons (Studio Calico); Twine (The Twinery), pen (le Pen).
My card was inspired by a card I found on www.eatdrinkchic.com, I have added it to the DT Inspiration board on Pinterest.
Thank you Emily for sharing! Love your 'mist' rack! Beautiful card too!!

Great idea and what a fun way to recycle an otherwise usused piece!

I have moved my mists around a bit too as my crafting space evolves and have found spice racks ti be a great solution. Mine are out where I can see them and grab them quickly. TFS! Big yay to repurposing! :)

I only have a few as I'm a newbie to the mists, but I'm sure I'll be looking for storage options like this one in the future. Thanks for sharing. :)

Emily, Thanks for the awesome idea on storage! My mists are just kind of sitting around. They fall over, they get misplaced, they get forgotten. I've got to try this idea!

Great idea, Emily! I have my swatches, but my current storage is overflowing- this looks like the perfect solution. Plus, I could hang one on the wall, saving me space. Thanks for sharing!

Dang! I saw spice racks like that at the flea market but couldn't think what I could use them for. Now I know! Also love the swatch ring, will have to make one ASAP!
