One of my favorite ways to use Studio Calico stamps is to create a background for my pages, and turn cardstock into patterned paper!
To create this page, I taped off the four edges of the gray paper (from May's Kit - Lawn Party), and then stamped the typed image (also from Lawn Party) on to the page with gray ink. I cut out the heart using patterned paper and then sewed around the edges of the stamping. I'm including a picture of this layout in my album so you can see how it all works together!
This is one of my favorite ways to use stamps, what is your favorite way to use stamps? Show me how and you could win a great National Scrapbook Day prize package! Link your page in the comments of this post by Friday May 13th for a chance to win a My Mind's Eye Lush 2 prize package!
Love.

laura, your style is so clean and simple, yet moving.
Here's my use of stamps for a background.

One of my favorite ways to use stamping is to NOT stamp directly on the page - because I always mess it up! So I stamped my title then cut it out & adhered it with pop-dots:

submitting 'so blessed'. I stamped and embossed on the wood veneers. I first saw this on a christmas ornament by nicole (ie, seriously brains). Since we share a similar vocation, I thought I would copy her hobby as well...heehee.

Submitting 'our baby girl', this is a rare pretty stuff only layout with no journaling. I took the opportunity to go overboard on the cutesy stuff. I stamped and embossed my own embellishments with the SC doilie stamps. thanks!
