Hey guys! My NSD challenge is for you to get out your paints and a few household items to create an original background for you layout. This doesn't have to be a long process so please don't be intimidated or think you're not artistic enough to complete this today.
I basically pulled out a piece of white cardstock, used my nifty credit card technique to add a base layer of gray paint and used a cardboard roll I had kept from my office to create rings. I also used the end of a pencil eraser to add a few random dots. Some ideas to use as stamps....bottle caps, empty toilet paper/paper towel cardboard rolls, buttons, a brayer and even your Studio Calico stamps.
Have fun! Can't wait to see what you create. Happy Scrap Day! Link your page in the comments of this post by Friday May 13th for a chance to win a My Mind's Eye Good Day Sunshine prize package!
I used the bottom of a spice jar to "stamp" circles with acrylic paint. Then I used my fingertip (is that a household item?) to swipe some paint around the edge of cardstock:

I had sooo much fun with this! Recycled a SC paper bag for my background - I crumpled it up, inked the creases, then stamped with a toilet paper roll to create the ovals.
