I must admit, I’m not usually a “challenge” scrapper. My photos and materials on hand tend to lead the way in developing my designs. So, sticking to a strict challenge is difficult for me.
This means, I’ll be easy on you.
The challenge is this: Use any packaging material on your layout.
This could be a backer card, a coupon from your kit, the paper bag your kit comes in, or anything else you can think of.
Supplies: Patterned Paper – Anthology Compilation (Studio Calico); Cardstock – Celery from Elementary Cardstock (Bazzill); Packaging & Frames – Wood Veneer (Studio Calico); Stickers – Stars (Jenni Bowlin), Chipboard (KI Memories), Home Front (Studio Calico); Pen – Fine Point Slickwriter (American Crafts); Foam Dots (American Crafts)
Here, I used the wood veneer packaging to both journal onto and house my title. Since the woodgrain backer had a glossy texture, it was best to use a Slickwriter to prevent smudging.
The Large Circle Border Punch to create the border on the right side of the page and the leftover circles, some of which were from the wood veneer packaging, were adhered using the foam dots as accents.
Overall, this was a easy, quick layout to create and I hope this challenge is easy for you to complete as well. I can’t wait to see what you create! Be sure to link your layouts to this post for a chance to win a $5 gift card to Studio Calico. Oh, and don't forget to let us know what packaging you used.
Wonderfull challenge!! Think I'm gonna try!!
Must everything I use on my layout be from SC?? First time for me, you see.........;)
hug

Loved it, forced me to use the marketing inserts from the kits. Also some JB packaging from the back of the buttons.

Hello:) Loved this challenge. I used an SEI chiplets box for the frame of my photo. I detached it from the box and covered it in the woodgrain paper. I love the little frame it turned into!

Awesome challenge! I used the paper bags that contain our kits. I used the large circle border punch to create a flower & border on my 2pager. I wanted to make a ton of those flowers, but it was more difficult than it looks! :)
