I am in love with all the new rub-ons from Studio Calico, particularly the stars and the tweets. My only problem with rub-ons is that I really like a lot of dimension on my pages, and they don't offer that. I solved that problem by placing my rub-ons on some cardstock and then cutting then out and placing them on foam adhesive. This is certainly not a new technique, but I felt like it should be revisited in light of all the awesome new releases!
Now for a fun twine technique. I didn't have any thread handy for my buttons, and I didn't want the cream color of twine. I wanted to add a punch of brown to liven things up, so I just cut a length of twine and sprayed it with Mister Huey. You need to let it dry a while or else it's really messy, but I love this look! The fun part is that you can mist it with any color and come up with a completely custom look.

Beautiful layout!
I've been holding on to my tweets because I didn't want them to get lost on the page, but I love your solution. Thanks!

Great ideas! I love the idea of using the mist on the twine and "popping" the stars out of the page. Gorgeous layout!
