This week, Sophie Crespy is joining us with her take on the sketch. We think you'll love what she did with it!
(Supplies: Ring Toss add-on: patterned paper: Denim (Crate Paper), Tokyo (Kesi'Art) ; Photo Booth add-on : patterned paper: Caracas (Kesi'Art) ; Brooklyn Flea : patterned paper: Farmer's Market (Crate Paper) ; City of Lights: Exclusive Butterfly Stickers (Sassafras) ; Tab Punch : Jenni Bowlin ' Other : Cameo)
Here's her thoughts on how her project came together :
I loved this sketch for its clean lines and white space. I think it is very well balanced. I chose to turn it around and to scrap this photo of my boy I adore. I kept to the horizontal title in order to balance the vertical lines of the photo and patterned paper. I cut it with my Cameo and mounted it on 3D adhesive to give dimension to the layout. That banner at the bottom of Nina's layout is just too cute! On my layout I used it to insert the journaling: it is printed on vellum, cut and stitched to the page. I enlarged the round embellishment on the side and cut papers with my Cameo to create a sun. This sketch made the creative process so easy! And I love the result.
Now it's YOUR turn to show us how you'll use the sketch. Whether it's a layout, a card or something else, link us up to your project by June 18th for a chance to win a $5 gift card to the Studio Calico shop.
