Heidi Swapp is with us to show us her workspace and a few personal photos of herself and her little one. Here's what she had to say.
"I chuckled when i was asked to share photos of my studio... 90% of the time (maybe more, it's an embarrassment of creative catastrophe! in fact, one day i left a note for my son to clean his room, and later, i came home to a bigger note that said 'clean your studio'. When it's nice a clean (in between projects) it's lovely! it is situated on the second floor on the landing right outside the bedroom doors of all the kids upstairs. from there, i have a nice birds-eye view of all the goings on. i can even watch the TV and the stove! i can see into the backyard through the kitchen window and keep peace through all the land!
I use a MacBook Pro that is hopelessly old (and wishing for a new one!) so it travels where ever i happen to be working. I like to watch hulu.com and netflix as i work late into the night. "
Thanks for sharing Heidi!

ohh... the little boy is so cute =)

The photo of your son is priceless! So many times I wish I could have a do-over, far too many missed memories of my only. Wasn't a scrapper then and photos of everyday were not high on the list.
Twenty six years later.... big mistake.
Thanks for sharing a peek into your life.

Wow its is very neat and organized. Now did you just shove everything into a drawer for a the photo shoot????? Your son is adorable, sleeping in the doorway!!! And I used to be a stand up scrapper but my back would get so tired and the people around me (when I was at a crop) didn't like it, so I learned to sit and crop. But I most enjoy cropping in my pj's. Thanks for letting us take a peek!!!!

I totally "get it" and can relate, as far as having your workspace in an area that is esaily accessible to the rest of the house and the 'action". My space is the same way (I have 4 kids!) and I needed to be able to work and be with the crazy family all at the same time. No hiding away for THIS mom either! Very pretty colors you have there; love it!

I didn't have much room in my house for crafting so I got a craft room from http://roomstogrowusa.web12.hubspot.com/hobbyrooom/. Now I have all the room I need.

I'm so happy to know that her room is not always perfect! When you see rooms in magazines, you get the impression that they always look that way. My room is really cool, but is messed up most of the time.

Thank you for sharing your pics and story! I love watch hulu.com while I scrap, too! Instead of scrapping while the kid's up, I wait til he's in bed and I can concentrate. If I try to scrap while he's playing, a 1 hour layout can take 4 hours! I know that's familiar, huh?
