Hi, it's Emily with the Sunday Sketch for you.
I got to lift Waleska's Bouncy Morning Curls layout.
Her use of the large C and the fun bubble stamp w/ parts filled in really make this layout shine. I didn't get the Babbling Brook layout so I missed out on the stamp, so instead, I used the Cotton Candy paper with a lot of fun circles.
Supplies: Studio Calico State Fair Cotton Candy, Studio Calico State Fair Midway, Studio Calico Documentary Souvenir, Studio Calico Pink Clouds Rub ons, Studio Calico Pink Phrases Rub ons, Studio Calico Countryside label stickers, Studio Calico Addy alphabet stickers in Green and Yellow, Studio Calico Documentary Fabrips, Studio Calico State Fair Notions Flower in yellow, Claudine Hellmuth Blank Canvas paint, Jenni Bowlin Studios button, Making Memories metal clip, twine, thread, EK Success pen, StazOn ink Jet Black
It was rather kind of Nik and Dav to wear clothes that perfectly coordinated with the State Fair lines, don't you think? To fill up that space that was missing the stamp, I used the lines from the pink Phrases rub ons, then I ran a thin film of blank canvas paint over that and embellished both with some stars punched out of the Midway paper. To replicate the visual feel of the large C Waleska used, I added a square of Souvenir and balanced the yellow with a notion and some letter stickers. You can still see Waleska's inspiration, but in the end, I was able to make it very me.
Please play along this week, adding your links to this post by Monday, March 21 for a chance to win a $5 Gift Certificate to Studio Calico.

Waleska rocked that stamp on her page, and Emily your page is such eye-candy! Love it!

Thanks for the challenge. I was inspired to use a "large" c on my layout and to line up my paper on the left edge of the page & then this page evolved from there. Also finally used some fabrips. :) TFL!

This one was super fun to try. I'm not sure it looks at all like the original and that is probably a good thing, mean I made it my own eh! Thanks for the sketch and inspo ladies.
