Challenge: Scrap your word

With the New Year comes Resolutions, declarations of change, promises made, and always, a fresh start.  Many people encapsulate all of that using the One Little Word challenge.  I haven't really participated in this challenge in years past, but have several plans of action for 2011, which led me to my word for 2011:  Focus.

Who do I want to be?

Where do I want to go?

What do I want to accomplish?

I have a long list of to do's but I'm a bit of a scatterbrain.  I'm hoping by focusing on the word.... focus, I'll be able to accomplish some goals I have set for myself that I've been afraid to chase in the past. 

With that said, the challenge for this week is in two parts:

1.  Take a photo of yourself.  I do not do very many about-me layouts, and often have to hand the camera to someone at the last minute to ensure it gets documented that I was in my life.  At the beginning of this new decade, take a self-portrait.

2. Put that photo on a layout, with your word for 2011.  Take this time to journal about what this word means to you, and what you hope to do with it in the following year.  Perhaps even write a letter to yourself, seal it, and don't read it until January 2012.  Take this week's challenge as an opportunity to focus on how you, in the words of Oprah, can "live your best life".
